What are WR4GD Rankings?

The World Rankings for Golfers with a Disability (WR4GD) ranks the top golfers with a disability based on their average performance in countable matches over the past 104-week rotation period.

WR4GD is provided by The R&A (Royal and Ancient Golf Clubs) and the USGA (United States Golf Association) as a global golf service.
By incorporating and assessing competitions from around the world, WR4GD promotes the international development of competitive golf.

About the WR4GD division

WR4GD has three ranking divisions:

  1. Gross Stroke Play Division: Open to players with handicaps up to 18.4

  2. Net Stroke Play Division: Open to players with a handicap of up to 18.4

  3. Net Stableford Division: Open to players with handicaps between 18.5 and 54

How is the average point calculated?

WR4GD performance/average points are calculated using the following formula:

WR4GD average points = total points earned / denominator total

How to become a WR4GD ranked player?

To be ranked you must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a WR4GD pass

  • Have a handicap issued by a nationally recognized golf handicapping authority (for amateur players)

  • Points must be earned in games that qualify for WR4GD.

What do I need to participate in a WR4GD eligible match?

All players participating in a WR4GD counting game must have an access pass or a WR4GD pass.
However, you will need a WR4GD pass to be listed on the WR4GD rankings.

About points

How are gross points calculated?

Gross Ranking Points (per round) = (Course Rating - Gross Score) + 24

To calculate your average points, divide the total points earned by the number of rounds started.
 

How are NetPoints calculated?

Net Ranking Points (per round) = (Par – Net Score) + 18

Average points are calculated by dividing the total points by the number of rounds started (divider).
 

How are Stableford points calculated?

Stableford Ranking Points (per round) = (Stableford Points - 36) + 18

Your average points are calculated by dividing your total points by the number of rounds you started.

What are tournament ratings?

Tournament ratings are divided into nine categories, A-H and Unrated.

The ratings are determined according to the strength of the field and are assessed separately for each Gross, Net and Stableford division.
The rating is also used to calculate bonus points.
